“Nurse’s Vow XXIV” 2017

Nurse’s Vow Ceremony, is an appointed ceremony of nurses, who had finished the clinical practice in approximately 10 months in General Hospital, mental hospital, and public health service. This vow ceremony was the 24th ceremony of Nurse Profession and was held on December 27th, 2017, organized by School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. It was attended by 148 nurses, 45 were male nurses and 103 were female nurses. The total number of nurses that graduated from Nursing Profession Program is 1.352 nurses. Fresh-graduated nurses with cumlaude predicate is 36, very excellent predicate is 106, and excellent predicate is 5 nurses.

24th Nurse’s vow ceremony was attented by 4 presidium. There were Head Of Nursing Profession Program, Faculty Of Medicine And Health Sciences UMY, the Dean of Faculty Of Medicine And Health Sciences UMY, Assembly of DIKTI Muhammadiyah, and Head of Indonesian’s National Nurse Association (PPNI) Yogyakarta. Furthermore, this ceremony was attended by perceptors from Home-based hospital, including RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping, RSUD Dr. Tjitrowardojo Purworejo, RSUD Tidar Magelang, RSUD Kab. Temanggung, RS PKU Muhammadiyah Parakan, dan RS Jejaring yaitu RSJ Grhasia Provinsi DIY, RSJ Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang, RSJD Dr. R.M.Soedjarwadi Klaten, Puskesmas Kasihan 1, Puskesmas Kasihan 2, Puskesmas Bambanglipuro, Puskesmas Mantrijeron, Puskesmas Jetis, the lecturers of School of Nursing and all of the nurses’ family.

One of the process in the ceremony was awards that given to Dwi Sasmoko Adji, S.Kep., Ns. as the First Best Nurse, Rizaludin Akbar, S.Kep., Ns., as the Second Best Nurse, and Dwi Puji Putranti, S.Kep., Ns., as the Third Best Nurse. Fresh-graduated Nurses also gave contribution to School of Nursing for academic activity, in the form of 5 text books, that could be used for reference in learning

The head of Nursing Profession Program, Novita Kurnia Sari, S.Kep,Ns.,M.kep., said that it is important for the graduated nurse to maintain the nursing ethics and implement islamic nursing everywhere. Furthermore, the representative of the students, Marifatul Fadilat, S.Kep., Ns., delivered his speech in the name of his colleagues about new responsibility they have as nurse and he sent gratitude for lecturers and perceptors that had guided them to become more mature.
